Focus mode: a timer where Pinchy keeps quiet
A pomodoro timer. While you focus, Pinchy goes quiet, holds your notifications and reminds you to take a break.
What to ask for
- “Focus for 25 minutes on my essay.” He starts a session and remembers what you are working on.
- “Help me concentrate for an hour.” Same thing, with your length.
- “Stop the focus session.” He ends it and shows what he held back.
How it works
- During a session he answers briefly and does not start side quests.
- Notifications that are not urgent wait until your break and arrive as one summary. Errors still show.
- If you leave the computer for a few minutes, he reminds you what you were working on when you come back.
- After the break he can start the next round by himself.
Settings
- Settings → Pinchy → Focus mode: show Focus in his right-click menu, how long to focus (25 minutes by default) and to break (5 minutes), start the next round automatically, hold notifications while I focus, the “you were working on…” reminder.
Limits
- Focus mode holds Pinchy’s own notifications. It does not silence other apps.
